Tasker Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Tasker is a task management application developed and operated by TOOB Development. This Privacy Policy explains what information Tasker collects, why it is collected, how it is used, and the choices available to you regarding your information.

We aim to collect only the information that is reasonably necessary to provide and operate the Tasker service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create a Tasker account, we collect your email address. Your email address is used for account authentication, account recovery, password management, and other account-related functions.

Account Identifier

Tasker uses an internal account identifier associated with your authenticated account. This identifier is used to associate your tasks with your account.

Task Information

Information you enter into Tasker may include:

• Task titles and descriptions
• Due dates and priority levels
• Completion status
• Reminder settings
• Recurrence settings

Because task titles and descriptions are entered by you, they may contain personal information that you choose to provide.

Notification Information

If you enable task reminders, Tasker may schedule notifications on your device using the reminder information associated with your tasks.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Create and manage your Tasker account
• Authenticate you when you sign in
• Store and retrieve your tasks
• Provide task reminders
• Support recurring tasks and task history
• Protect the security and integrity of the service
• Diagnose technical problems and improve application reliability

4. Cloud Services

Tasker uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide application infrastructure, authentication, application programming interfaces, and data storage. Your account information and task data may therefore be processed by AWS as a service provider acting on behalf of Tasker.

5. Information Stored on Your Device

Tasker may temporarily store task information and authentication information on your device so the application can operate efficiently. Local task data is cleared when appropriate, including when you delete your account. Task reminders may also be stored locally by your device's notification system.

6. Advertising and Tracking

Tasker does not currently display advertising and does not currently use your personal information for targeted advertising. Tasker does not currently collect advertising identifiers for advertising purposes.

If advertising or advertising-related technologies are introduced in a future version of Tasker, this Privacy Policy will be updated and any required consent controls will be provided.

7. Sale of Personal Information

TOOB Development does not sell your personal information.

8. Data Retention

Account information and task information are retained while your Tasker account remains active and while the information is required to provide the service. Information that is no longer required will be deleted or otherwise disposed of as appropriate.

Limited technical, security, or operational records may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, legal, fraud prevention, or technical purposes.

9. Account and Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your Tasker account from within the application. You can also request account deletion without the app by visiting our Account & Data Deletion page.

When account deletion is completed, Tasker deletes the task data associated with your account and deletes your Tasker authentication account, subject to any limited retention described in this policy.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information handled by Tasker. These safeguards include authenticated access to user data and encrypted network communications. No electronic system can guarantee absolute security.

• Delete individual tasks
• Delete your Tasker account and associated task data
• Contact us regarding questions about your personal information

12. Children's Privacy

Tasker is not specifically designed or directed toward children under the age of 13. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child in circumstances where parental consent is legally required, we will take appropriate steps to address the information.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Tasker evolves, including when new features, technologies, or data practices are introduced. The date at the top of this policy identifies when it was most recently updated.
